Position Overview:

The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of online content, ensuring all materials align with the organization's mission to support young professional women. This role includes reviewing and refining all content, including articles and workshop materials, to ensure consistency, quality, and impact. The Editor-in-Chief will collaborate with content creators, workshop facilitators, and the leadership team to develop engaging, mission-driven content that fosters community engagement and drives organizational goals. The ideal candidate should have strong editorial experience, strategic thinking skills, and a passion for advancing women’s equity in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy: Develop and oversee the overall content strategy for the organization's online platforms, ensuring alignment with mission and goals.

  • Content Review: Review, edit, and approve all online content, including articles, blog posts, and workshop materials, ensuring high quality and consistency.

  • Workshop Content Oversight: Collaborate with the Program Manager and facilitators to refine workshop content, ensuring relevance and effectiveness for participants.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with writers, content creators, and workshop leaders to generate impactful, engaging content that resonates with young professional women.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content adheres to the organization’s standards, including tone, messaging, and accuracy.

  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze content performance, gathering insights to refine strategies and improve engagement with the target audience.

  • Content Calendar Management: Maintain an organized content calendar, scheduling content releases, and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of content with organizational goals and audience needs.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on content performance and suggest improvements based on data-driven insights.

Time commitment: 4-8 hours / week

Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years of work experience in a corporate role

  • Strong organizational skills with experience overseeing multiple content projects, managing timelines, and ensuring quality output across platforms.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement content strategies that align with organizational goals and resonate with the target audience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in editing and proofreading for consistency, clarity, and quality.

  • Experience in analyzing content performance, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve engagement.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing content-related challenges and ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, STEM, communications, media, or a related field
