Fundraising Coordinator (Unpaid)

Remote - Part-Time

Position Overview:

Emboldly is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Coordinator to support our growing development efforts. This individual will work directly under the Fundraising Director to track fundraising progress, manage grant statuses, identify new funding opportunities, and help execute key fundraising campaigns. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, who thrives on organization and is passionate about impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor contributions, and campaign metrics.

  • Track grant application statuses, approvals, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

  • Research and scope out new grant and funding opportunities aligned with Emboldly’s mission.

  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications, reports, and fundraising materials.

  • Support the Fundraising Director in executing fundraising strategies and meeting campaign goals.

  • Coordinate logistics and communications for fundraising events, donor outreach, and campaigns.

  • Collaborate with program leads to understand Emboldly’s initiatives—especially the Fellowship and Recruiting Bootcamp—and articulate their value to potential funders.

  • Stay informed on trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and grant development.

Time commitment: 2-4 hours/week

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated.

  • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or grant writing.

  • A plus (but not required): experience working in or with nonprofits, or familiarity with grant databases (e.g. Instrumentl, Candid, etc.).

  • Eagerness to learn about Emboldly’s programs and work closely on high-impact initiatives.
