Program Coordinator - Workplace Interventions (Unpaid)

Position Overview:

The Program Coordinator - Workplace Interventions will be responsible for reaching out to workplaces to offer tailored solutions and run workshops for employees, focusing on creating structural changes within organizations to ensure equal advancement of women in the workplace. This role involves collaborating with workplace leaders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth execution of workshops that align with the organization’s mission to support young professional women. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager to drive meaningful impact and promote lasting organizational change. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in workshop facilitation and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workplace Outreach: Reach out to workplaces to offer solutions and run workshops for employees, focusing on creating structural changes within organizations

  • Workshop Oversight: Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of workplace workshops, ensuring they are tailored to organizational needs and delivered effectively

  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the Program Manager to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of workplace events / interventions, aligning with overall team strategies

  • Strategic Implementation: Support the Program Manager in executing strategies that promote engagement and alignment with the organization’s mission and goals for workplace transformation

  • Logistics Coordination: Manage logistical aspects such as venue selection, vendor management, and on-site execution for workplace events / interventions and workshops, ensuring smooth operations

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) for workshops, gathering data for post-workshop evaluations to inform continuous improvement

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with workplace partners and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration for successful workshop execution

  • Problem-Solving: Address any operational challenges during workshops and events, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruption

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all workshops and workplace events / interventions comply with legal, safety, and organizational policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks

  • Reporting: Contribute to post-workshop reports, summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for refining future workplace solutions and strategies.

Time commitment: 3-4 hours / week

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-6 months of work experience in a corporate role

  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing logistics, timelines, and event resources efficiently across multiple projects

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, community partners, and external vendors to ensure successful event execution

  • Proven ability to support budget management and ensure cost-effective planning while maintaining the quality of events

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, team coordination, and public representation

  • Experience in problem-solving and addressing challenges in real-time during event execution

  • Basic understanding of event compliance, safety regulations, and risk management procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, STEM, or a related field
